It's like the Hunger Games, but with puzzles and lore!

It starts off pretty boring, but when the filler characters are gone and the "escape" starts, things really heat up! And they mentioned The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan, which I really enjoyed.

This would have been my 10 year old self's favorite book. Even over Baby Sitter's Club.

I thought I would read a book about a library for National Library week and I've heard a lot of good things in particular about this one...Plus I need a light read after The Magicians

Like J.K. Rowling ripped off J.R.R. Tolkien, with this novel Grabenstein ripped off Roald Dahl and his chocolate factory story. Although, It's not as good, and won't reach his predecessors' success.

I've been feeling a book slump coming on and nothing cures a book slump like something light and fluffy. This book is really neat. When I was a kid, I would have dreams about fantastical places like this library.

I wasn't extremily impressed by the book, I had high standards to begin with. I liked the it enough to recomend it because it was a good book but again, my standards were to high. I liked the ending it gave closure and picked deserving winners, no spoilers. It had good messages but seemed a bit bellow my grade level.

I like how Kyle gets a clue for helping another player, it shows how important it is to put other people before you sometimes. I don't like how Charles is doing well or how Haley acts dumb to get what she wants. I enjoyed knowing that Haley does have a good incentive and how the team included Sierra.

I'm disapointed Charles is winning right now. He does not desrve to win anything, let alone such a huge prize. I don't think he will end up winning though because that would be a terrible ending.

I predict that Sierra Russell will find the escape first. The book wants me to think Kyle will because he's the main charactor but I beleive Sierra will because she wouldn't have had stayed if she doesn't play a role. It would be a good ending because she isn't even trying.

I'm not sure how I'll like this book, I'm only reading it for the book party. So far it's realistic fiction with a hint of fantasy, not to exciting yet. I'm looking foward to something intersesting happening, so far it's been 100% predictable with Kyle winning the contest. I know that it must get good though, it did win the Maine Student Book Award.

I have to say I love the phrase: "they really needed to start focusing on The Game and not all this other monkey junk." I'm totally going to start using this... Monkey junk.

IN THE book __Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library__, the author, Chris Grambenstein establishes a suspenseful mood on page 39. He established this mood by not telling immediately that the protagonist, Kyle, won the essay contest. It makes the reader wonder whether he got chosen to be the first 12 people to go inside Mr. Lemoncello's new library.
