Status Updates From Escape from Mr. Lemoncello'...

This is a family-read book for us. And one of Alex's favorites. I can see why. Any book that includes the creativity of Roald Dahl with the wisdom of Dr Seuss and adds in brain tickling riddles and Dostoevsky references is a winner in my book. Can't wait for the next reading tonight.

This is so corny, cringe-worthy and flat-out unoriginal!

In this book, the setting is the brand new remodeled library that is run by Dr. Z and Mr.Lemoncello. The library has many different rooms with all of the dewy decimal numbers as well as game rooms and holograms that are there to assist you. Througout the story Kyle and his teammates are looking all over the new library for clues on how to escape. They visit the meeting rooms, the cafe and even the board game room.

Really screaming through this cute middle grade book! Best library fantasy ever!!!

I think that book is targeted for people around the age of twelve or thirteen because the main character is that age and I think that people of that age can relate to the same problems that Kyle faces. Audiences may relate to Kyle's excitement when he wins the essay contest. "And last but not least," said Mr. Lemoncello, "Kyle Keely." He faces problems that middle school brings and many audiences can relate to that.

So far the book is very good and interesting!

Read for a course on Young Adult literature. The morals are pretty heavy-handed, but there's an unabashed joy in it that makes it refreshing.

Already, so many cliche's :(

The protagonist of this story is Kyle. He is the protagonist because he is the main character of the story, and you want him to succeed. His character is designed so that you connect with him and like him. Charles is the antagonist because he is competing against Kyle in the library competition, and is doing everything in his power to beat Kyle. Therefore, he is not a character you like and you want him to fail.

I'm reading two books at once


This one I'm reading with my sister.... it sounds so adorable

I.m loving this book, its a cross between Charlie and the chocolate factory and Night at the Museum.

So far I'm getting Charlie and the Chocolate Factory meets a game of Clue/scavenger Hunt vibes...and I like it. The writing is pretty juvenile but not bad, and, I suppose middle grade is the target they're aiming for!!

I'm re-reading, and enjoying it immensely. I love this sort of thing!
