I do like this book so far… I fear the fact that I started in the middle of the series has taken some of the enjoyment from the experience but the characters are strong and I have to admit it’s holding my attention

I goofed… Why I didn’t question the harsh en media res energy at the start, I don’t know. Most characters got completely random allusions to in depth backgrounds (a bounty hunter, chefs with personal beef, and a mermaid or something!?!?) and I STILL didn’t catch on that this was a SEQUEL until halfway… going to finish it anyways! Maybe I’ll read the first after ❤️
