I LOVED Nancy Drew when I was a kid. It was something my mom and I bonded over. I read all her old Nancy Drew books, and everything our little small town library had too. So this is a nostalgic read for me. I’m interested in experiencing the series as an adult.

Nancy drew is a sympthetic character because she is always trying to help people find out the mysterys. Nancy saves peoples lives by figuring out mysterys and sometimes you can connect to her character. You always are rooting for her to figure out the secret. Nancy saves little judy.

Currently reading to my 6 year old who seems to be enjoying it! I've never read before. Many of the references are a bit dated, but it is an interesting step back in time.

The book Nancy Drew's story archetype is Quest. The story is about a girl who goes on a quest to find Josiah Crowley's later will. Nancy faces many problems along the way trying to solve the mystery for all of Josiah's family and friends. The book Nancy Drew shows how it fits into the quest archetype because Nancy goes on a big adventure, facing many issues, to find Josiah's later will that may not even exist.

In this book, Nancy Drew remains streadfast in what she wants and what she believes in. In the beginning of the book she wants to help other people find the missing will so that they can have a better life and at the end of the book she still has the same belief and she accomplishes this goal of hers. This proves that she remained steadfast because she was a detective who had the same wants throughout the book.

The conflict in Nancy Drew is character vs character. When Nancy arrives at the Tophams' cottage in search for a clock, a group of thieves have already started looting all of the Tophams' stuff. Nancy gets locked in a closet by the leader until the caretaker comes to help her. This leads to Nancy having to chase down the thieves to find Mr. Crowley's will.

The point of view in this book is third person limited. I know this because in the text it says, "Nancy concluded that her wisest move would be to take the road which led to River Heights" (11). This shows third person limited because the narrarator only knows what Nancy Drew is thinking and feeling througout the entire book.

The protagonist in my book is Nancy Drew and the antagonist are the two theives. Nancy Drew is trying to find the missing will for the Turners, who need the money . The theives are the ones that stole the will and help to stop Nancy from finding it. This shows that Nancy is the protagonist and the theives are the antagnist because Nancy Drew solves the problem while the theives prevent Nancy from solving it.

The conflict in my book is character vs. character. Nancy Drew is trying to solve the mystery of the robbers who smuggled and who are involved in the missing will case. This proves that this book is charcter vs. character because Nancy Drew if fighting the robbers who are other characters in the book.

Creo que es la primera vez que leo un libro en inglés en el que aparece el término "gay" con el significado de alegre ["Conversation at supper was gay and animated"] . Supongo que es lo que tiene leer algo de mediados del siglo pasado.

This fictional, mystery, and action book is about a girl named Nancy Drew who tries to solve a mystery of a missing will. Along the way, she chases men in a van and saves a girl from a bridge. This shows that her solving the missing will is mystery and when she chases men and saves children it is the action component.

This is definitely a fast-paced, easy, pleasant & nostalgic read. I love Nancy Drew. Although if I’m being critical, everything seems so convenient & almost everyone seems to know Nancy & her lawyer father. If they didn’t know her, then they like her & found her easy to talk to & befriend. But I don’t mind that. I enjoyed reading the Nancy Drew books when I was a kid; I still enjoy reading this book now.

I’m reading a 1930 edition of this Nancy Drew book. Found this line interesting:
