Two chapters in - pretty good start. Audio is good - I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the narrator.

Read book 1 in September and picking up the sequel in December. At least my definition of "shortly" is getting better - somewhat! 😅😅

Gar finds the words of unmaking that will kill Morg and Asher, but changes them. Probably so he dies instead. Also read Barl was going to go immortal like Morg- where is she? Weather goes to hell killing and destroying. They go to the city. The wall falls down, so now they are screwed unless Barl turns up. Morg has finally been offing people.

They save Asher by switching him out at the last second with a guy who looks just like him. Matt, for some reason, goes with and gets caught. Gar translates the journal and works out they're against Morg. Gets Pelleck to let Matt go and they flee. They all meet at Verina's. Asher is pissed, but of course has no choice.

With Dat going to have his baby I kind of suspect Asher is a dead man and the poison is for him. That's why Dat can't come. Both to save the kid and she wouldn't be OK with Asher dying. He did this to himself, the moron.
