The writing is a little pretentious and word vomity. King loves to write in ways to allude to things happening without outright describing them which leaves much to the inagination.

I read The Institute a while before this book, and the two are very similar. There’s not many differences, so it feels like I’m just re-reading The Institute

Slow start so far, but that’s how half of King’s novels are anyways.

I am very slow with this. But so far - a 4 Star for me. This is my first Stephen King but I enjoy his writing.

There are a few signs of its age in both language and the way the world is described. If you knew that in mind it’s a good book (so far)!

I haven't read this since I was a kid, maybe 6th or 7th grade, so I am really looking forward to rereading it now!

I'm at the edge of my seat. The anticipation is killing me.

I love the authors word play. It is so different and unique that I have to sit there and force myself to think about the sentence I just read. There are phrases I'm not familiar with but I'm so proud that am braving through this. Also, I can't wait until shit hits the fan.

Honestly, I'm having a better time with it now.
