Many adverbs and descriptions are carbon copies of past books, including "Nancy Drew" and most certainly over-repeated at that. But we know now, they were story forumulas brainstormed by a company, for the writing by ghost authors they hired. The writers indeed put life, flair, and talent into the ideas and made the stories. But one can envision an editing committee. "Declared" and "presently" are staples!
