Interesting premise is emerging, what if instead of virtual reality technology created an alternate reality: the autoverse. Looking forward to the end of part one where the true premise will truly emerge: what if we had a city of rich idiots run by scumbags trying to get a little richer

Did not expect this to be about one day waking up to realize youve been turned into a virtual copy of yourself by the real you and that he also jailbreaked the program you run on so that you aren't allowed to kill yourself

This initially gave me big Neuromancer but on easy mode vibes, which to some extent it kinda is. The fundamental ideas in this book are really good, like yes, what if all our digital clones in the future were fighting for human rights? Like that’s super interesting and the topic should be explored. But for me, I really struggled to connect to or care about any characters in this, and in general the prose is lacking
