Status Updates From Wander in the Dark

So three chapters in and right off the bat I’m not liking the way this book was written 😭 which is very upsetting bc I was so excited to read it also the author seems like such a cool guy!

This is getting hard to read. The story is about a black man accused of killing a wealthy white girl. It’s a cool story to read and I’m learning about how people of color experience the world, and how they feel when the law is involved. That said, the author brings up that black people get the short end of the stick in all situations on just about every other page. It’s coming off that he just hates white ppl.
