Great world building and interesting characters. Hints of romantic attraction thus far but nothing too serious

Very slow read , didn’t understand initially what was happening (I’m slow). Stopped at 137 or something because I was getting frustrated and needed a new book.

Two chapters in and I feel a general rule with Fantasy is that if you do not provide context clues or build your world at the beginning and you just dive into the story…have a glossary. So far i feel like im reading a lot of nonsense thrown in for background. Some characters were introduced in one sentence just as a thought then never went any further than that mention.
