I feared at the beginning it would be more gods and unnecessary plot twists. But the story turns out to be a lot better than the second book. There's less emphasis on all the queer characters although a few new ones get introduced. More emphasis on Deka's journey to become a god and the power of friendship. I love her relationship with Keita too. Bit fast paced though, rushing from event to event.

Not quite grabbing my attention yet but I’m pushing through and hoping for more attention grabbing content further in the book

A few pages in and I’m really not feeling this third book

Guess what Namina decided that these books didn't have enough yet? Plot twists and MORE gods. How much gods can you have in a book? Anyway, these seem good, but so did the Gilded Ones so I'll just wait for a plot twist and the other shoe to drop.

I have to get back into the story, it's been some time since I read the previous one. Deka and her friends are searching for her mother but get taken into some alternative dimension created by the Idugu were girls are brought to be sacrificed and they need to escape. I wish they would have found her mother, or a clue about her first, because this feels like a total interruption and it makes the story chaotic.
