OKAY still not sure how i feel about kell suffering so much with his magic but i do enjoy him becoming a better swordsman like…..that’s hot! also why tf aren’t alucard and rhy married??? is there really homophobia in this magical london???????? i’m hoping there’s some other reason and i’m intrigued to meet the queen. also also loving tes’ energy. overall very invested in this so far!!!!

Quite possibly taking a break from this book to read ACOMAF. Don’t know yet, depends on how I feel tomorrow.

Love this, lots of world building but everyone is back in this book so that makes me happy. Sad Alucard wasn’t crowned king but the queen helped Rhy get a daughter and Rhy still loves Alucard and they’re still a thing so I’m fine with it (definitely not just trying to gaslight myself into believing it’s fine with me).

I love seeing how much Kell's pain affects Lila, I know she had to learn how to be tough to survive but seeing how much she cares for him warms me up inside 🫠

I still have a huge crush on Holland but I don't trust him anymore, the whole thing with Black London is real sus, no matter the motive

Rhy seeing his father going to his death and the memory of the two of them when he was a child, his father saying "A king belongs with his people", and Rhy smiling proudly "and a prince belongs with his king". I cried so much it's no joke.
