I literally don’t have a single bad thing to say about this book

This is doing the thing where I get super bored reading some of the character perspectives, like I genuinely could NOT care less what happens to them but apparently it's integral to the plot so there I am stuck for 50+ pages trying to force my brain to take in the words when I'd much rather be giggling over Lila and Kell's / Rhy and Luca's unbridled angst and unhinged/snarky tomfoolery

I thought that this was going to be a new series- but it really feels like a book 4 in the Shades of Magic Series.

Finally started

Ok so… I feel like I need to put this one down temporarily until I read the prequel series DESPITE what the author says.

There’s too many “old” characters I don’t know that are reused and a lot of worldbuilding I am missing. This takes place only 7 years later from the original too.

I just realized this is actually like a sequel series. Um.

It’s hard to get through this book and it’s weird seeing the characters again after two years ago I read the whole trilogy of a darker shade of magic because I’m just realizing that Lila and kell and everyone is not OK which is normal after everything they went through but I just hope that this has a good ending

Had to watch a 20 min recap video after forgetting everything since I read the original trilogy like two years ago... But it's a fun time lol. I'm remembering my love for Kell and Lila's angsty little selves and or course the world building is still immaculate as I remember it being

A bit slower than the first part, but we know important things about The Hand and its rebellion, Kosika, the new queen of White London, Tas and her fixing-things magic and of course, Alucard, Rhy, Ren and Nadiya.
I love the dynamics of Alucard and Rhy and how he likes to play with Kell, lol. Lila is super cool and man, I'll never be ready to let go of Tieren.
