Ugh. I’m trying so hard to like this book but it’s tediously slow and bogged down with info dumps. I wish I’d known this was Book 4 in a series, but it isn’t marketed as such. So disappointing after reading Addie LaRue, which I loved.

Just met Kosika age 6 or 7. Friends with Lark (who I think Leia knew in previous books). She’s a thief and they work as a team. Her mum tried to sell her. In white London children now have magic but adults don’t. Hers hasn’t woken yet but Lark’s has.
