holland as a saint and the blood sacrifices made me think of my city's saint protector, januarius. he was a priest. they kept his blood in a glass box and it liquefies 3 times a year. the most important liquefying is on his saint day (sept 19). if it doesn't liquefy on that day, it's a bad omen for the city. they still can't explain how the blood turns from dried to liquid

the colors of nadiya's family flag are the same as the ace flag and she made magic black rings which may be a sign of asexuality if worn on a specific finger. I'm convinced this was done to subtly suggest that nadiya is ace and her words to alucard seem to confirm it
