I started reading this on the plane ride home from LA, right after buying the book / meeting Duff / getting it signed! It has been very interesting that I'm able to relate to most locations that he writes about in the book.

It's not so easy, because there are many lies.

If you are a Duff fan or GNR fan, this book is for you. Duff is a truly beautiful & compelling author. His storytelling is simply unbelievable. I am loving every minute!

okay...duff is now sober, a health nut, and studying economics at Seatle Uni and has a baby...we're nearing the end of a crazy ride.

page 201...Elton John literally carried me to the side of the stage where almost 100,000 fans awaited the showstopper. About fifty performers lined up in a chorus line with Liza Minnelli singing lead. I remained upright through the song - no doubt using the sets of shoulders on either side of me - then I had to be carried again back to my dressing room, unaware of what was happening around me.

page 64... "I had mastered Black Forest cakes and various mousses. I could work with marizpan and filo dough. My raspberry tarts with almond-crust lattice tops were becoming works of art. I even had business cards: Duff McKagan, Pastry Chef."

This book is so good. I always had a "soft spot" for drummers, but Duff was one bass player that I always loved. I think I do MORE now.
