Listening to this book on Audible and not loving it. Between the poor narrator casting and bizarre writing style I'm having a hard time finishing this.

Great job by Duff, a no-messin-around account of a climb back from the depths of despair. An inspiring page turner...

I am really enjoying this story so far. Duff pulls no punches when recounting the sort of life he led before he sought recovery. He is honest, endearing, and matter of fact. I am beginning to see the world of Rock-n-Roll in a somewhat different light.

I don't want this book to end ;A;

I'm taking my sweet time reading this because of the massive GnR hangover I have after seeing them play last weekend ;A;

I AM DONE WITH THIS 6'3ft DORK.

It's amazing how Duff swears up and down Axl and the gang used to be closer than brothers -- yet there are no quotes or stories to back that up. In fact he never seems to have spoken to Axl for more than a minute at a time!

I'm seeing Guns 'N Roses this weekend (wuhooooo!!!) and I think it's the best time to read this!

"As the crowds cheered our number one album, I soaked it all in, little realizing that soon the rock and roll lifestyle would leave me a burnt out shadow of my former self." I love Duff, but does he really talk like this in real life? Ghost writer begone!

I've finally had some reading time to dedicate to this and, WOW. Reading about how these talented musicians unraveled as their fame increased truly makes me wonder whether it's worth it. The book is definitely engaging!

Can't put it down!

I'm hooked, just read for 2 hours straight. Having kids that's a lot to say!

Whoa this is a great read. The stories are insane and Duff is a great writer. Makes me appreciate the music even more.

We called the result "Welcome to the Jungle"... it went over great and from then on crowds would get agitated as soon as they heard Slash's intro riff... (Junio de 1985).

First Rob and then Tracii backed out. We had ten days before we were scheduled to leave for the tour. "Don't worry", I told Izzy and Axl, "I know a couple of guys we can bring in".

Honest and eye-opening. GnR is one of my favorite bands, and I am happy that Duff McKagan is healthy, enjoying family life, and is still making music.

Heartbroken forever.

Fuckin A!!! I love them even more now. And Duff. Oh man. OH MAN.
