Hearing Hawkeye reading me some if this story, makes me emotional for some reason

Wait did they kill healthy people and stole their food or they were zombies? I think healthy but you gotta do what you gotta do

See air strikes are always gonna be a way to rid the earth of zombies. Unless it's crazy zombies that doesn't even care that they're on fire and are still running towards you

Hmm seems like something a lot of people today need to hear

This is, actually, just as good as I remembered it being so far. Very compelling format. I'm actually surprised how much of it I actually don't remember. I remember the little mini-twists from people's accounts but the story details themselves are fresh and visceral.

I've read this book before about ten years ago and remembered really liking it. I came across this and the companion book (never read) at the book swap recently so figured it was time to give it another go. I've reread books in sooner timespans so curious what to make of it.

oh my god the one with the kid i was literally about to cry

very interesting way to portray a zombie apocalypse

I don’t know what happened but in 100 pages the book just threw out everything interesting about it (the geopolitics and the mechanics of human survival) and devolved into right wing-esque military porn that it’s been such a SLOG to go through.

I wish there were more zombies in this zombie book lol

One of the band told me last night

considering abandoning the book, really not my cup of tea

i can see how it could be appealing to some.. if you’re looking for a recollection of memories and a BTS of a zombie outbreak then this is your book.. but it’s not particularly immersive or that engaging.. there’s no character you can actually connect to as there’s like a billion interviewees.. welp

This is so good! I heard this was a Project Hail Mary level audiobook and I agree with all on that.

finding it quite boring so far..
the interview style writing is quite cool, haven’t read something like that until now
but i’m getting bored of reading about the politics of different nations and them speaking about the outbreak in the past tense monotonously

as immature as this may sound.. i just want to read about some zombies ripping people apart

Over a third into this audiobook and I haven't heard a woman yet lol

I am loving this book so much. I definitely should’ve read it sooner but better late than never!
