The allusion to The Wasteland in the first story is … wow. Love me some Salinger.

Perfect park book. I LOVE JD SALLINNGER. Only thing that bugs me is how open to interpretation most of the stories are… but I guess that’s sort of his thing. Two favs so far: to Esme with Love and Squalor (sort of tragic) but beautifully writtenand De Daumier Smith’s Blue Period (confusing but entertaining and some really nice quotes)

Wow. Teddy might be my favorite. I wasn’t expecting that whatsoever. The ending actually gave me chills. What Teddy said about doctors, and education, and logic. I really loved it.

Ngl miss bananafish seemed a little more sinister for my liking. looked into peoples analysis of the story and i understand the analogy of the bananafish to seymour but it still felt a little icky and maybe thats the point but eh

After reading the short story Franny, by Salinger, I decided I wanted to read the stories that were before it. So here I am reading Nine Stories, and then back to Zooey.

wow. so unfortunately I already knew the oldest son of the glass family killed himself so it wasn't as shocking, but wow. The way he writes his dialogue, it feels so real even if it's dated.
