Wow, that scene with Imweshi commenting on the oppressed poor was so intense! And so relevant to the current political climate in England regarding migrants and Brexit...
And the following action scene was very vivid and dramatic, it would translate very well to film.

this book is growing on me. Amerindian fantasy was awkward to grasp in the beginning, but then, the trilogy hit the speed pedal soon enough.

Discovering the central Kyn city and meeting nice characters, réminiscent of Amerindians but not too much. A brand of fantasy with a Tolkien touch.

On page 100, there was a fine description of a vegetal landscape, with about 5-6 plants named, while I find difficult to write an apt description of one or two trees in my fiction!

This universe kind of grows on you... I do like to read a part every evening, at the end of a busy day.
