The first line is true. But, the institution became imperfect along with the humans who have a part in it! When they were put out of the garden, every thing changed. Remember, the curse put on Adam? Cursed is the ground on your account! And Eve? In pain she would bring forth children, and her craving would be for her husband and he would dominate her! Had they remained perfect, the human institution of marriage would have remained so.
