'Cloud Atlas' is one of the best books I've ever read, next to 'Ulysses' and 'Finnegans Wake'.

You should; I thought so too about the beginning, but once I got thru' it, realizing how the novel would develop, I ended up liking it a lot. Maybe you and I can read it at the same time, and we can talk about it, in case you'd like to have a conversation on it.
