Cherie Roberson lives with her husband in a small Midwest town surrounded by the cornfields of Illinois. She embraced her passion for writing after a fulfilling career in teaching, turning the page to an exciting new chapter. After retiring, she loaded up on chai tea and fulfilled a dream of penning a novel, which is only second to her greatest achievement of raising three children to be better adults than herself.

When asked if she dreamed of becoming an author. Her short answer is "No," but her longer answer is "Maybe and I didn't know it?" She's always loved a delightful story. I set a minimum goal of 500 words and usually end up with double that. Sometimes, I go for a walk focusing on one aspect of my five senses. Then I use those senses in a scene when I sit to write. I ask myself the hardest part of the character's life and try to write why or the questions I have for my main character. At times, that gets me writing.(less)
