Doug was born in NYC and raised in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. He began flying at age 17 and went on to attend Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. He completed US. Power Squadron courses in Boating, Seamanship and Advanced Piloting. He also attained a USCG 100-Ton Master’s License and was granted FCC Amateur Extra Class and General Radiotelephone licenses. Doug has been a Flight Officer for a major commercial airline for approximately thirty five years. After crossing numerous U.S., Canadian, and Mexican cities, his travels then shifted south to include the nations of Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
