I have always loved visiting caves whenever I was on family trips; my dad must have liked them too because he often went out of him way to see one. Something about being in the total darkness, seeing the beautiful formations and colors that simply aren’t “there” in the absence of artificial lighting just has always intrigued me. I was inspired to write “The Cave” by a novel by Richard Laymon, and felt that a cave would be the perfect setting. Fortunately my wife likes visiting caves as well so we check them out whenever we come across them in our travels!(less)

I read more, I concentrate on my work, and I try to focus on enjoyable things. Then I go back and reread from the beginning, decide if I like what I've written and where I'm going, and pick it up where I left off.

Other tricks I use is switching my point of view character and writing a few chapters from another perspective. Then I'll go back and incorporate that perspective into the point-of-view character and see where it takes me. (less)

The Inn and related stuff

Hi, all,

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted anything here. Life’s gotten in the way of a lot of things, including my writing and publishing.

Well, at least in the way of my publishing. I have been writing. I have a handful of things done, including 2 sequels to THE INN, my most and best reviewed book to date.
