Many repetitive situations and choices, mainly to either descend or return to the surface, or submit to the Atlanteans (and their transformative surgery) or not. Lots of looping makes it additionally confusing for completion.

“You must have some new inventions that we did not have in my time. Tell me about your most modern things."
"I think the best things are the bicycle trails. Since 1997 they've allowed no new roads to be built—only bike trails—and now there are as many miles of bike trails as there are of roads for cars."
"So you can really bike all over the country?" you ask.
"Sure—and not alongside buses and trucks and crazy drivers, but through forests and across plains and deserts and along rivers and streams. I sometimes feel like biking forever that way, and there are hostels for bikers where you can sleep in comfort for almost nothing. Most of the
cost is paid for by taxes on gasoline.”

Soviet SST by Howard Moon
“When they built the first prototype, they thought that the airline would soon be placed into operation. But life shows that loud advertising and haste lead to nothing good. A test flight is one thing, and regular commercial flight is quite another. --Andrei Nikolayevich Tupolev, Pravda, May 8, 1971”

“Currently, most of the job of a deep-learning engineer consists of munging data with Python scripts and then tuning the architecture and hyperparameters of a deep network at length to get a working model—or even to get a state-of-the-art model, if the engineer is that ambitious.”
Francois Chollet, Deep learning with Python

“In practice, experienced machine-learning engineers and researchers build intuition over time as to what works and what doesn’t when it comes to these choices—they develop hyperparameter-tuning skills. But there are no formal rules. If you want to get to the very limit of what can be achieved on a given task, you can’t be content with arbitrary choices made by a fallible human. Your initial decisions are almost always suboptimal, even if you have good intuition. You can refine your choices by tweaking them by hand and retraining the model repeatedly—that’s what machine-learning engineers and researchers spend most of their time doing. But it shouldn’t be your job as a human to fiddle with hyperparameters all day—that is better left to a machine.”
Francois Chollet

“Some readers are bound to want to take the techniques we’ve introduced here and try them on the problem of forecasting the future price of securities on the stock market (or currency exchange rates, and so on). Markets have very different statistical characteristics than natural phenomena such as weather patterns. Trying to use machine learning to beat markets, when you only have access to publicly available data, is a difficult endeavor, and you’re likely to waste your time and resources with nothing to show for it.

Always remember that when it comes to markets, past performance is not a good predictor of future returns—looking in the rear-view mirror is a bad way to drive. Machine learning, on the other hand, is applicable to datasets where the past is a good predictor of the future.”
Francois Chollet, Deep learning with Python

Michael Lewis
“Sunnybrook was Canada’s first and largest regional trauma center, an eruption of red-brown bricks in a quiet Toronto suburb. It had started its life as a hospital for soldiers returning from the Second World War, but as the veterans died, its purpose shifted. In the 1960s the government finished building what would become at its widest a twenty-four-lane highway across Ontario. It would also become the most heavily used road in North America, and one of its busiest stretches passed close by the hospital. The carnage from Highway 401 gave the hospital a new life. Sunnybrook rapidly acquired a reputation for treating victims of automobile accidents.”
Michael Lewis, The Undoing Project
