I am a Designer of product including footwear, handbags, small accessories, packaging, logos, branding, with a Bachelor's earned in Commercial Art. I create vector and raster imagery for social media, and beyond. I also design and create original 'printables' such as coloring pages, cards, invites, etc., less generic more personal ones with the consumer in mind.

I am extremely interested in genealogy, I'm a huge crafter, I love being creative and creating things. I like to keep busy, so if I'm in a car (or a bus, subway, train, plane, boat, ferry) and I'm not driving I am either reading a book or doing some craft! After a few seasons, I knew the place inside and out. I had given many, many tours, telling many of the stories. I knew there was no other book of this type in their gift shop, nor in the community nor extended vicinities. I thought I couldn't be the only one so intrigued by this historic local landmark. How they lived, how they prospered, how they were here living in America on Long Island, New York before it even became the United States. How their stories, were very similar to the stories I'd learned within my own family. Stories of my grandparents, great grandparents experiences coming to America though specifically New York City - Manhattan, from a different country and at later times to most of those that came to Hallockville. Still, I felt a sort of connection.

I wanted to help spread the word of this special place in time. And with my professional background, I knew I could, ha, I thought I could do this homestead justice creating these illustrations for what I considered to be a coloring book. Albeit others, including the local retail shop owners, local libraries (plural), local historical societies (again plural) who have purchased copies of the book to sell at their establishments, are considering the book a coffee table book as well, because of the illustration work within and the accurate account of the documentation.(less)
