Sometimes I'm in a cleaning mood and can clean my house exceptionally well and enjoy it. If I try to force myself to clean, it is drudgery. The same holds true for writing. If you are experiencing a block, you probably are trying to force it. I would often get ideas for my book while I was out walking my dog or playing piano. Learn to recognize when your creativity is igniting. THEN go write. Don't sit on it. I can remember practically running home with my dog when I got a good idea so that I could capture my creativity. Hey, I like that. Capture your creativity!(less)

Start at the Bone

I am so excited about finishing this second book. Guess what? A lifelong friend, my 10th grade English teacher, volunteered to proof the first author copies! As soon as I get her suggestions, I will complete the book and begin advertising. I think this book looks much better and has a more academic voice than the first one, but it doesn't read like a textbook. I'm anxious to hear from readers soon Read more of this blog post »
