In her spare time, and away from the constraints of her master’s whip, she finds pleasure in writing anything from fantasy to romance–which sometimes parallel each other. If her writing makes one person smile, she’s accomplished her dream. Kastil is her pen name for erotic romance. She uses the pens name K. E. Shade for the softer side of romance.

She is also a fanatical Pittsburgh sports girl, rooting on her home team.
