I am a confluence of contradictions, fan of parallel structure, and nostalgic pack rat who writes poetry about punk rock kids, takes photos of forgotten places, and rescues discarded treasures. Most importantly I believe in the beauty of the ordinary, the power of the vernacular, and the history of the abandoned. My work strives to reveal the art in what we see, say, do, ignore, and forget every day.

I hold Creative Writing degrees from SUNY Purchase (BA) and Wilkes University (MFA). I have been published in several kick ass journals and my first collection, Mix Tapes and Photo Albums is out now on EMP Books.

This is one of those poetry books that makes me jealous. In all the best ways. The poems are beautiful and raw and honest and surprising and natural and shocking.
