After sufficient time has passed, I resume writing, but if I'm still blocked, that's it until the next day when I start the process all over again. The most important thing I realized is that, no matter how frustrated or impatient I am, I know that writing block is always temporary.(less)

I've only written one book, and don't really consider myself a writer by profession. However, in writing my book, I did learn that while all of the research, grammar, character development, story line and other elements that go into a book are essential, I felt that that most important thing to do was sticking to my own 'voice' and not trying to write and sound like someone else. That seemed to be the critical ingredient to keeping the writing authentic.(less)
