Too complicated to explain, so read the books! Anyways, Tally and the other cutters are trying to capture the smoakies and crash an ugly party. They get off to a good start and begin chasing some smoakies out into the wild but the smoakies end up fighting back and getting away. Tally is in shock because one of the smoakies was David and he had tried to harm them. This was new and unfair. The smaokies had equipment exactly like the specials and they has taken Tachs captive. Somehow the cutters would have to save him. Shay and Tally end up visiting New Pretty Town and seeing Zane. He is still bubbly and they don't understand how after the second surgery he had just had. Tally only wishes she could have some alone time with him so that they could talk about everything that had happened but she has made a promise to Shay that she would not get involved with Zane until he had become a cutter himself.

I have only read to page 144. Tally and Shay have found an alloy cutter and ended up destroying the armory museum. They almost get caught until they jump into a river in their sneak suites. Right now they have met up with the crims who are going to escape with Zane. Zane is trying to tell Tally how fake she is as a special and how much more fun life could be as a normal bubbly. Tally has an urge to agree with him but cant bring herself to do it. I can see how Tally thinks. She is trying to please Shay not only because Shay is her best friend but because if she turns away the cutters would probably turn on her. Tally realizes that she and the cutters are some of the most powerful and iciest people of all. She wonders what she would do without all of her new epic powers. It's a feeling that we can relate to. Like when you love something so much and you can't imagine life without it... 11.16.11 ...more "
