Andrew Forkner was born in 1956 and has lived all his life in Oxfordshire, England.
After a career in biological science, in 2006 he left to pursue his twin interests of art and writing.
He has written two books on painting and drawing techniques and the release of his first novel 'A Rainbow Rises' (book 1 in an epic fantasy series) marks a new chapter in his development as an author. ...more

Andrew Forkner Having been an avid reader of fantasy for many years, although I have read many books that I have thoroughly enjoyed, there have (inevitably) always b…moreHaving been an avid reader of fantasy for many years, although I have read many books that I have thoroughly enjoyed, there have (inevitably) always been some descriptions, or aspects of the story which didn't match the mental imagery that I created while reading.
Now as I create my own adventures, I have complete control over how my characters look, behave and interact with one another. The realms through which they pass can be described exactly as I see them in my mind.
I get excited every time I sit down to write.(less)

Return to Asgard.

Six months ago the first book (A Rainbow Rises) of my Norse trilogy was published. Now after a few months of promotion and marketing, interspersed with brainstorming ideas for book 2 (A Blizzard Rages), I have returned to Asgard to join my characters once more.
