I like Byron and Natalie from "Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance." They aren't together for most of the novels and both of them are very tough, each working on their own need to survive the war and get back together.
As a child of the 70s and 80s, I'm very fond of Han Solo and Princess Leia. I especially like the back and forth banter that follows them through "Empire Strikes Back" as each of them tries to get the other to admit their feelings. He's a loose cannon with a touch of clumsiness and she's tough and feisty.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Nathan E. Eckel I don't get writer's block all that often. That could be because I don't write as much as I should so when I am writing, I have a lot of work to do. I…moreI don't get writer's block all that often. That could be because I don't write as much as I should so when I am writing, I have a lot of work to do. I also have two projects going at any time. I work on one as long as things are moving smoothly and strongly, but when I feel the gas tank is getting low, I switch to the other project until it burns out. (less)

Sci-Fi Humor

I'm trying to figure out what my brand is, what do I write well and what do I enjoy writing. Right now, I'm working on two novels.
