"Buffy is my favorite show of all time. It’s my comfort show that I will rewatch episodes of every year. Currently, I’m in the middle of a full series rewatch. And it didn’t occur to me til I was already in the middle of watching season six that I should have been reading this along with every episode. So now I’m playing catch up. And it’s going to take a while… lol. Still reading season one here." Aug 24, 2026 12:00PM

Fyodor Dostoevsky
“Love all God’s creation, both the whole and every grain of sand. Love every leaf, every ray of light. Love the animals, love the plants, love each separate thing. If thou love each thing thou wilt perceive the mystery of God in all; and when once thou perceive this, thou wilt thenceforward grow every day to a fuller understanding of it: until thou come at last to love the whole world with a love that will then be all-embracing and universal.”
Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Fyodor Dostoevsky
“And what's strange, what would be marvelous, is not that God should really exist; the marvel is that such an idea, the idea of the necessity of God, could enter the head of such a savage, vicious beast as man.”
Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Fyodor Dostoevsky
“I can see the sun, but even if I cannot see the sun, I know that it exists. And to know that the sun is there - that is living.”
Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Fyodor Dostoevsky
“What is hell? I maintain that it is the suffering of being unable to love.”
Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Fyodor Dostoevsky
“By the experience of active love. Strive to love your neighbour actively and indefatigably. In as far as you advance in love you will grow surer of the reality of God and of the immortality of your soul. If you attain to perfect self-forgetfulness in the love of your neighbour, then you will believe without doubt, and no doubt can possibly enter your soul. This has been tried. This is certain.”
Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Brothers Karamazov
