I was born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia. I received a BFA degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmon, Virginia. I now live in Clarence Center, NY

My avid love of reading, genealogy, and historical research has led me to some interesting, colorful ancestors. My debut novel is written based on the true story of my 3rd great-grandfather.

The book I have just published was from a mystery in my 3rd great-grandfather's life, rather than my own! He was a local blacksmith who was murdered in 1826 in Petersburg, Virginia and his son was accused of the murder. It is replete with true records from the trial lawyer and newspaper articles describing the event. Read the rest of the story...

The book I am now working on is a story of my 4th great-grandparents. Pierre was from a small village in the Grisons, Switzerland, who became a Swiss mercenary and worked for France prior to the French Revolution. When I learned that he and his wife, Catherine, ran a coffee house in Brest, France during this time, my mind immediately went to spies, espionage and secrets. That isn't even the end of the story! Stay tuned. (less)
