Purse the book has to have a introduction to the main characters I would say the main characters are: Yanek Gruener, Father (doesn't give name just calls him father), Uncle Moshe, and Mother. Now this story is taking place in the town of Krazkow, Poland which was a quiet town/city in Poland. That's where Yanek grew up as a kid but before he could have know what was to come, he was trapped up in a flat which was once his house was crowded with 3 families, The Lavis Family, The rosenblums family, and The Johnson Family. as you could imagine this family sized house is going to incredibly cramped, and not to mention that the Nazi’s have raided it to taking all their belongings with them. As Yanek gets old in the book by he's the age of 12 the Jew of Krazkow, Poland had been barricaded in a ghetto which was on Yanek’s Main Street.

As this book progresses the rising action would start when they move to the pigeon coop on the roof from when the Immericksons use to live there, but they got taken from the work gangs and Mr.Immerickson, used to have pigeon coop, when he left there was room for for a family to live there, and so the Greuner had up there to get more room. Well before Yanek knows he's is the only one in his family due to the work gang taking his family away from him. So at this in the book Yanek at 12 years old is the only one in his family possibly alive, so in this point in the book he had to make a big decision to turn himself in or just try to stay alive. So he doesn't turn himself in he is Really brave for a 13 year old! In Prisoner B-3087 it quotes on page. 62 “The Nazis Snatched me up one day at when I was at work.” He was on his way to Plaszów Concentration Camp. Now when he gets there is a lot of shouting at the Jews. As he got all of his belongings taken away and they told them to get undressed and if they took to long as the writer of this book tells us that they will shoot you! But says he took so fast that he can play the “game” just as good as anyone and better than the Nazis. I really think that a good way to put the extermination of the Jews a “game.” Well when he gets back to the barracks and gets a “good” nights rest.” He goes to roll call and HE SEES HIS UNCLE MOSHE! He say his name and the next thing he know somebody had gotten killed for his wrong doing. The writer says he has felt horrible for doing that. Well anyways he finally get the chance to talk to uncle Moshe and his Uncle Moshe says “Yanek” “ to get his attention.” And gives him a hug. The writer of this book say this book has never gotten a heart warming hug like this one.

The climax in this book is when Yanek gets word that his Uncle Moshe has died. And Yanek stated in this book on page. 88 “let alone anyone else. Be no one, care for no one. That’s how you survive.” That just show how much he trust he has in his Uncle Moshe and how much respect he has for him.

The falling action of this book is when is the death march to Dauchu camp the writer uses the death march as a race to be first because if you're last you will be shot in the back. When they arrive at the camp he say the work is awful there and just like the other camps. But as it goes on he say one night that there was bombs being dropped and there were getting closer, but when he gets up in the morning the camp was bare no one was around and there was a tank coming around the corner. It was the allies they took them and feed them with feast of beef and potatoes

The conclusion is when he goes to America to live the rest of is life as a free Polish Jew! ...more "
