Before my book came out, I read as much advice for debut authors as I could find. I think I felt like if I could prepare for every possible scenario, nothing would surprise or disappoint me, so my nervous system could process everything before it even happened. One such piece of advice was to book something fun for yourself six weeks after your book comes out, because that’s when you stop getting
