Moses Seenarine is the son of Savitri and the father of Jad.

Seenarine completed an Ed.D in International Education from Columbia University, New York, in 1998. His dissertation research was on the multiple oppressions faced by lower class, out-casted women. The study was published in 2004 by Mellen Press, titled "Voices from the Subaltern: Education and Empowerment Among Dalit (Untouchable) Women in India"

Seenarine wrote numerous articles on women in the Global South and on female immigrants in the Americas, including "Recasting Indian Women in Colonial Guiana: Gender, labor and caste in the lives of indentured and free laborers," (1998).
