Alfred Eyrie has many stories to tell. Stories that are so true they can only be told under the guise of a pen name. Stories of being bullied by a Ouija board, of finding voodoo in his underwear drawer, and of a childhood that ended abruptly after his family moved into a haunted house. In all his adventures, Alfred has learned that the one thing more scary than living amongst the dead is to live amongst the blind.

Alfred tells his stories not to spread fear of the darkness. Alfred writes because he has lived amongst the darkness, but he did not join it. He writes to encourage those who do not see the supernatural to have respect for those who do. Of course, I was also going back and revisiting some of the more unsettling things that happened there. I still have nightmares about that house and the occupant who is still there, and when I learned that a new family was living there a few years ago (and had put the house up for sale because the ghost was "molesting" their son in much the same way it did to me) I decided that I wanted to let that boy, and other kids like him, know that they were not alone...that this stuff happens (a lot), and that they are not crazy or just imagining things.(less)
