Leena Prasad is the author of "not exactly haiku", a collection of short thought poems (senryū) with sketches, and of "iT felt Like A kiss", a book that explores the art personality of the Mission district of San Francisco.

She has published non-fiction in The Press Democrat newspaper, India Currents magazine, public radio KQED's Spark website, Mission Arts Monthly magazine, and various other print and online periodicals and websites. She has also written, directed, and produced a few short films and a documentary. Her complete portfolio is at FishRidingABike.com.
