Paula Andrea Velásquez —conocida en el bajo mundo como Escalofriada— nació en el 94 en la fría ciudad de Bogotá. Trabaja como diseñadora multimedia y es licenciada en Educación Básica con Énfasis en Inglés en la Universidad Distrital de Bogotá.

Desde su infancia encontró en los libros un refugio para escapar de la realidad; suele leer obras de mundos fantásticos, romances emocionantes y misterios por resolver. Sus historias exploran la naturaleza humana y las relaciones interpersonales, combinan diversos géneros y buscan inspirar a los lectores a vencer sus miedos.

Sincronía es su primera novela publicada, ganadora del premio The Wattys 2017 en la categoría "Los innovadores".
