I was born in Glasgow, and left school at 16, with one ambition – travel the world. I worked as a delivery boy for an advertising agency, in a psychiatric hospital, and various bars, until I had enough money for a one-way ticket to Hong Kong. Since then I’ve been lucky enough to have lived and worked in Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, Amsterdam, London, Paris and New York. Not bad going.
