I guess I'd have to choose between Wesley and Buttercup from the 'Princess Bride' (love with a bit of humour and adventure - always good; "As you wish.") and Count Dracula and Mina - ill-fated love over the aeons, surviving the vicissitudes of time. Both bear testament to the enduring strength of true love, against the odds and over adversity. I hope I captured just the slightest glimmer of this in "Once Bitten, Twice Die."(less)

As I wrote, one book grew into two, then three books, so I decided to write all three before I published even the first, which took a lot of discipline, but actually worked out really well. As the trilogy progressed there were developments and surprises (even for me, writing it) which meant that I had to go back and alter previous books. This meant that I was able to link them all and create all kinds of bridges and connections that just would not have been possible if I had already published the first. I know what you mean about changing Mona Lisa's smile. Personally I think that I did not ruin her smile, I just changed it from a smirk into a whopping great s*!t-eating grin.
Thanks for your question, hope to hear more from you.(less)

“From conversations with her husband she was aware that the static came from a number of sources such as the atmosphere, other electrical equipment and even, incredibly, an amount from the noise of radiation emitted in the origin of the universe's Big Bang. To her however, it was the sounds of the souls of countless millions of people who had perished in this international disaster, brushing past her in the ether on their way to the afterlife.”
Antony J. Stanton, Once Bitten, Twice Die

“The world had turned on its head; people had become zombies, walking dead, devoid of any vestiges of humanity or reason. Society had collapsed over the period of merely a few weeks, and now vampires walked the earth in broad daylight, the living, the dead and the un-dead, all mixed together. It was a hideous fantasy, a ghastly, gothic nightmare, unbelievable and yet actually happening.”
Antony J. Stanton, Once Bitten, Twice Live

“No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader.”
Robert Frost

“A dirty mind is a terrible thing to waste.”

Mame i oduzimaju um. A kad me njegov pogled dotaknuo, ta nit se pruzala preko prostora i sputala me.
Stajala sam nepomicna i sledena nasred puste ulice. On, tamo u uglu, zasjenjenog lica, leda okrenutih svjetlosti, nije davao znak zivota od sebe.
