Johnny Simonich was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1954. He is the great-grandson to families who pioneered the town of Union, Waupaca County, Wisconsin, and Baxter, Colorado, along the Arkansas River Valley, in the 1800s. He is also the grandson to families who were heirs to historic Spanish Land Grants of Peralta and Tome, New Mexico, along the Rio Grande River Valley. Only a lifetime of traveling extensively throughout the United States, and the experience of interacting with incredible people from all walks of life, has enabled Johnny Simonich to create his characters and breathe life into his storytelling.
