You have to write when you don't want to, when you feel like you have nothing to say or that what you say has no value. Write anyways. I think Stephen King has the same advice, and he's much more well known, so listen to him.

I also believe that talking with people about why they enjoy what they do (if their reading list is similar to what you've written) is more important at the beginning than just pitching your book at them. Authors and musicians run in a similar path here. You have content you want to share and you want others to read, so be the person you want others to be to you. Be interested in the person first before you put your work in front of them. When you get people interested in you, they'll be interested in your writing.(less)

It's a lot of storytelling, and also a lot of honesty in the power of overcoming your fears. When will I release it? Who knows. I'm going one book at a time right now and my main focus is getting the DIY Musician's Radio Handbook in as many people's hands as possible for now.(less)

Everyone is an influencer.

It’s not a matter of social following numbers or popularity.

We know about influencer culture in social media, people with millions of “followers” on their profiles and who seem to have the sway over massive amounts of people to buy what they suggest. Some businesses build their entire branding strategy around being picked up by influencers to get the masses to buy their
