I really didn't exhibit high expectations for this book, as it is about a more obscure side of WWII, the hunting of Nazi leader Adolf Eichmann after the war, and me, as a person who craves adventure and action, didn't believe that this book would yield any of that, and will subsequently bore me. But as soon as I started reading, the author's adequate and accurate usage of historical facts, as well as clear photos not only made it an engaging but educational read. What I am really impressed with is the fact that I am only 35 percent through with the book, but there have already been around 5 pivotal moments, as well as around a dozen characters coming and going, and yet the author still manages to keep the reader engaged and on track throughout all of this action. He does this impeccably well through the use of descriptions of each character, not too obscure that the reader won't remember the character, yet not lengthy enough that the reader becomes overwhelmed. His use of text features are also remarkable. For example, when the author was introducing the plan to abduct Adolf Eichmann, which was an intricate plan, involving many components and characters, the author provided concise explanations of the characters, and then put a photograph of them on the next page so that the reader absolutely understands the specialities of each character and why each of them are necessary assets to the mission. This meant that later on, when the plot was following through, I wasn't confused by who was who and was able to comprehend and even occasionally predict the characters' next moves based on my understanding of their personalities and traits.

I am a bit more than half way through with the book, and I am thoroughly engaged. Every chapter makes me not only learn something new, but propels the story forward in such a way that I cannot wait to read the next. I have had experiences in the past with historical fiction books like this one, where it starts off informative and exceptional, but slacks off, in the end, leaving me with a sour taste and a dreadful feeling of disappointment. But judging from the way the author is developing this book, I am really confident that this will be a good read. ...more "
