Daniel Mallen has been a professional firefighter for more than twenty years. Formerly a published songwriter he turned his hand to books and his debut, The Judging of Abigail Perdue was offered representation by the renowned Curtis Brown Literary Agency in New York.

Daniel is a graduate of the University College Cork and between writing continues to respond with the City's Fire Department. He has just completed his second novel - The Lemon Squeeze.
