Kathleen Marie hails from upstate New York, but calls Virginia "home." Living in a small beach town on the Potomac River, she shares her home with the love of her life, Rick, two aging poodles and a deranged feline.

Calling herself a "closet writer," Kathleen has enjoyed a lifelong love of the written word and finds comfort, strength and solace in expression, both through poetry and prose.

Kathleen spends her free time being Mema to four grandchildren and bringing to life her first novel to be published at the end of 2015.
