To everyone who read these stories with an open mind, thank you. Writing is already a strange act of faith: you spend months staring at a screen, hoping someone out there will understand what you meant.

If parts of these stories feel familiar, that’s because emotions are familiar. Love, grief, guilt, kindness: they belong to everyone, not just one story or one culture. In my world, food offerings and quiet resilience are normal. No copyright needed.

Some emotions are universal. They echo across cultures and languages — pain, faith, resilience, and the habit of offering food when words fall short. These belong to all of us. So if something in these stories feels familiar, I hope it feels comforting, not controversial.
